Welcome back!
Hello choir!
I guess we have to face facts and accept that the end of August is upon us, and the regularly-scheduled-programming is about to return to us! I'm looking forward to this year of music making with everyone. I've been searching for lots of good music, and I've found plenty, but if you have ideas of something you've heard or would like to sing (again?) let me know and I'll try and work it in to the calendar.
Here you'll find links to the first 2 pieces that we'll be singing this year. An arrangement of "If We Ever Needed the Lord Before" (check out the awesome Take 6 arrangement here). As always, there are rehearsal recordings for each vocal part (with the other parts much softer in the background) as well as a version with all the parts heard more equally. Please download the appropriate parts and sing along!

Music for Spring!
Hello everyone!
Here are more practice tracks for 2 upcoming pieces we'll be singing. Like one of our Easter pieces, you can download and listen to ALL the parts together, or JUST your part, or a version with your part stronger than the other parts.
Consider the Lillies
This piece is from the 'old' library and will be sung acapella (or a_capella, I can't decide which is right!). This is a favorite text of mine and is not terribly difficult except for one lovely moment of "Glo---ry". I look forward to working on this a fair bit so we're very comfortable with it before sharing it with the congregation.

It's kind of repetitive (okay, really repetitive) but will be über cool with percussion!

For this piece, I got a little bit fancy! I did a multi-tracked version and so have 3 different tracks for everyone. Be sure to listen to the full recording, which includes all the vocal parts together. Each part has 2 additional tracks to use - one with only your part on it, and then one with your track louder than the rest, but the other voices are there to give you a strong sense of how your part fits in with the whole. Let me know if this is of use to you?!

Gospel Allelu!
Hello everyone!
Here are the audio helper files for our next anthem. It kinda rocks!
soprano:
http://www.twinkletogether.com/Choir/GospelAllelu_sop.mp3
alto:
http://www.twinkletogether.com/Choir/GospelAllelu_alt.mp3
baritone:
http://www.twinkletogether.com/Choir/GospelAllelu_bar.mp3
Altos, please note I changed one note in your part: in measure 16 you have a whole note D, and I changed it to an F. It seemed a bit polite for our "nothing above B" crowd! This change will also happen in measure 74, but I forgot to do it there in the recording.
Thanks everyone, see you Wednesday night!
